Peripherals

If we see CISIUM development platforms as the heart of the finish product solution, and the operation system the brain, the peripherals are the extremities of the system, which allow interaction with the world. We provide to our customers an extensive list of available peripherals using the best in class hardware and software to maximum satisfaction.
We have three categories of peripherals, related to the wired communications, for wireless communications and for video.
|
Wired communication
- Ethernet: standardized as IEEE 802.3 is one of the chipset, and more used serial communication systems, gate to access to Internet. It is available in 10Mbs or 100Mbps variants.
- USB: the Universal Serial Bus, a facto standard nowadays is one of our strengths. We have available USB Host, USB Device and USB OTG. Variants USB 1.1 (12 Mbps) or USB 2.0 (480 Mbps).
- Modem: it is available up to 33.6 kbps (V.34). It is very useful when the application can be located in places without Internet.
- RS232: probably the most famous low performance communication interfaces, but widely required in many applications.
Wireless communication
- WiFi: based on the IEEE 802.11 standards, it is the wireless equivalent to Ethernet. We can integrate the 802.11b (11 Mbps) or 802.11g (54 Mbps).
- Bluetooth: originally intended as a replacement for RS232, is available in the version of 2.0 (3 Mbps) and 3.0 (24 Mbps).
- GSM: the Global System for Mobile Communication is the most popular standard for mobile telephony systems in the world. It is available in Quad EGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz.
- GPRS: the General Packet Radio Service it is an extension of GSM, allowing being online always, multimedia capabilities and other services. Available GPRS class 10 (86 kbps) and coding schema 1 to 4.
- GPS: the Global Positioning System based on global navigation satellite systems is available fulfilling the standards NMEA 0183.
Video
- Graphical LCD: the graphical Liquid Crystal Display is required in many high end embedded applications. It is available in gray-scale or color (16 / 18 and 24 bits). Optional touch screen.
- Alphanumeric LCD: the alphanumeric LCD is the best option to provide a feedback to the users with a low cost, good substitute of the LEDs. Available in many sizes and features.
- CMOS Camera: the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor camera is a high-performance professional and industrial camera. Resolutions available up to 4 Mpixels.
